Structural Update
A two storied RCC structure has been build with a total plinth area of 4000 sqft. This has come up with the constant endeavor of structural engineer and consultant Khaja Minhaj uddin, and our Architect Misbahuddin Wasif may Allah grant them lot of Ajar for their free of cost services. The Masjid can now accommodate mashallah up to 800 people. This is a great relief to the muslim community of Basar who could never before gather in such large congregations before. The ground floor is a dedicated Musalla (prayer area) and the second floor is being utilized as a Madarsa. In August 2014 work began on 2 minarets facing the western wall. Alhamdulillah each minaret is 35 feet high and has enhanced the beauty of the masjid. It has also added a symbol of Islamic Architecture on to the village landscape for the first time.
Parking Lot
The neighbor adjacent to the masjid agreed to sell his plot of land measuring 300 sq yards. Since the mosque is situated on one of the main roads with no access to parking it was critical to provision something for large congregations. With that in mind this land was alhamdulillah purchased and converted into a decent parking space. This not only added to the overall beauty of the masjid but also altered the landscape of the village.
Grave Yard
The grave yard adjacent to the masjid has faced complete neglect and was in a significantly poor state. A proper boundary wall was erected and the lone tombstone was saved from erosion by erecting a fence and building a proper platform.
Toilets & Wuzu Area
The people before use to perform wuzu under open skies. The toilets were in an extremely dilapidated condition. The tahara khana and ghusl khana were rebuilt and the wuzu area was shifted under a steel roof for the ease of people visiting the mosque.
